This question could be asked: Which is worse, educated or un-educated immigrants. Consider: Educated or skilled Canadians are more of a threat to the vast amount of Americans. There are not many 'full-time' migrant workers that are US citizens...

That's a trick question.

All immigration for the most part to the US should be stopped.
Don't you think 300,000,000+ million people are enough?

As for which group to let in, let in the safest, group that desires to assimilate and not form gangs.

By the way, legal immigration is indeed destroying this nation.
Corporations are giving high paying tech jobs, even accounting and administrative jobs to incomming legal immigrants and firing Americans. Spend some time researching the H1-B Visa program. There is a group called Immigrantvoice.org that's working to flood America with Indians, with the intent to take our tech jobs.

So that begs the question. If skilled trades jobs, administrative jobs and tech jobs -- high paying jobs are INCREASINGLY being taken by foreigners, where does that leave you?

Where does that leave your children?

I think it is because so many people come across it each year, and many fewer come across the Canadian border. However, according to a recent state department report, they are concerned about suspected terrorists coming into Canada under asylum and staging for terrorist attacks. I don't know specifically what they had in mind, but I think we need to secure both borders. Unfortunately, Canada and the northern states are trying to go the other way and get the government to put off using the passports with biometric data that are supposed to be in use between the US and Canada as of 2008. I understand their point of view. There is almost no crime in some of those northern states, and people don't even lock their houses. Locking the country seems ridiculous to them. It has to be done, though.

The one that most find "worse" are the ones that finally have a negative effect upon themselves.

With more and more visas being given to people outside of the United States for jobs that are being denied American workers is driving down wages. It is now really starting to be felt in the computer areas and if not stopped, will have a negative effect upon every area and occupation of life - except for politicians.

I don't think we have the right to decide which immigrants are worse for the U.S. as long as they came here legally with intent of making a better life for themselves and really want to be part of America. The problem i have is with illegal immigrants or legal immigrants for that matter who want to come here and turn America into "their country. As far as i am concerned they can all go back to where they came from. Right Now.

I welcome all immigrants as long as they come legally. We can use both educated and uneducated people. The uneducated people are for the most part are hard workers. We need these people to go work on the farms, to clean houses and hotel rooms. These people have a great work ethic and teach their children that ethic. Their children or their children's children become educated and make their own contributions to society.

So for me it isn't about educated and uneducated because they both have value as human beings. It is about wither they follow the rules to get here and if the assimilate to our culture.

Ps: LOVE your disclaimer!!!!!! :)

The problem is not as much immigration as so much things like minimum wage. As long as we have an artificial price floor for wages, we will have immigrants swarming over our borders because of the artificially high supply of labor that high wages cause. If you let wages go to their natural market level, the storm of immigration will subside because our wages will be "competitive" or "in the range" of foreign markets.

See, the Canadians arent over here because their country has nothing to offer them. Mexicans are over here because their country can't do a damn thing for them, and they want to come soak up our resources, jobs, benefits, and id's. Canadians have more to lose coming to America. They have a beautiful country, free health care, among other things. Canadians put in work when they get here to earn what they want, because they are used to the environment. Unlike mexicans who just come to take and think they are owed something.
