Canada and the U.S.A. are such huge countries, and beautiful countries, that there are innumerable places to see and things to do. The large prominent cities are always a good bet ... New York City, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, San Francisco. Then there are natural wonders, like Niagra Falls, the Grand Canyon, Banff and Lake Louise and Jasper and the Columbia Icefields, Yellowstone National Park, just to name a very very few.
i would recommend choosing a region, since you can't possibly see everything in one visit, and research the sights and tourist spots in that region, then go for it.

Niagra Falls there are 2 -one on USA side-other Canadian, Statue of Liberty, Eliis Island-both in NY
