Hi, I’m a guy who’s 24 years old and still a virgin. I’m abstaining from sex till marriage, not because I’m religious, but because I believe it’s the right thing to do. Not that I judge anyone who doesn’t abstain from sex till marriage, so don’t take what I said the wrong way. But I often wonder will there be a girl like me, abstaining from sex till marriage? As being a virgin above the age of 20 is rare.

I don't think it's a bad thing. Even if you find a woman who is not a virgin, she will most likely appreciate that you waited.
Waiting is very under-rated. But it is a good idea, since sexual relationships become complicated fast. It is actually smart because a lot of people do not know what they want when they are young.
Also, women in particular, get very attached after having sex, so it does cause a lot of heartache if the girl gets dumped by someone she has had sex with. The girl will definitely appreciate it that you are mature enough to wait until you have found the right one for you.
And yes, I do believe you will find the right one, maybe even some girl who is a virgin.

Well, it's nice to have principles, but don't let yourself get hung up on the concept of your virginity being a great gift to bestow upon someone, or you may end up with your expectations way too high. I admire your stand here, but personally, I wouldn't want to commit to a life of having sex with someone I had not had any experience of, and you might find a lot of women feel the same. Sex within a committed relationship isn't wrong - if you find the perfect woman for you, don't condemn her if she doesn't feel quite the same way about abstinence as you do - make a compromise.

The idea of waiting until marriage seems to be more popular (for lack of a better term) these days. I think it's great, and good for you. Realistically the odds are not in your favor, but I think you're chances are still decent that you'll meet a girl with the same belief. Maybe here?! :)

I admire you so much, a lot of young men would'nt even admit to being a virgin at your age. There is so much pressure on young people today to have sex, which is why we're in such a mess. Good for you and yes you'll find a girl who feels the same way. x

I am sure they exist, but most of them may say that their religious beliefs is the reason they abstain. Finding someone who chose abstinence for the same reason maybe tough, but I wouldn't say that they don't exist.

well there are alot of chiks overseas who r still virgins, and im sure u can find some religious chiks that are also virgins and i think theres a group britney spears was a spokeswoman 4 that talked about abstinence. y look for a virgin look for a girl based on her personality not her hymen

There are other people out there waiting.

You will have a more difficult time finding a mate if you expect them to be a virgin. It will greatly narrow your options.

If they are religious they might. Otherwise.... no. Our teenage mags and womens mags encourage us to lose it early!

Also... if you don't get experience, you will be rubbish when you do come to meet a girl you want to be with so it's best to get some practice in. You don't want to be dumped for being a bad sh*g now do you?
