I have REALLY REALLY curly hair and I'm just dying to get a good straightener. Does anyone know of some really heavy duty straighteners?

I love my chi and I would reccomend it to anyone. You can pick one off of ebay for about 80 or up. The cheap ones on there are fake. Believe me they are worth every penny. Not only does it do a great job straightening your hair, it will also take the static out and make your hair feel soft. :)

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.
Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.
According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,
a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more
negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".( $75/85)

My hair was extremely curly too until I had the japanese hair straigthening done to my hair. It is completely straight and I love it. No blow drying has to be done to the hair. Just wash it and let it dry and it comes out straight.

ghd is great but the cheaper one, think its called cgd, is just as good apparantly. get the one with the widest plates if your hair is realy curly. Also, if you go into any black hair salon they will be able to tell you hte best way to manage your hair.
