I have viewed my opinions on this subject many times, especially after reading the news before about the the "so called uncle" raping and murdering a toddler. Why should we have to question its not right a life for a life. Decent people know its not right but when you are dealing with BEASTs like this all they deserve is to die a painful and agonising death like they inflicted on that poor child who could not defend herself and looked upon adults as her protectors. That vile beast deserves to die with the suffering he inflicted upon her and do it quickly as I hope when he goes inside he suffers everyday wondering what is going to happen to him like SHE must of. Come on British Justice do what needs to be done and on such a loving day let us the british public see that MONSTERS like these suffer like she did and our thoughts go to her family and everyone who loved her cause when I look at her picture I cry so come on someone in jail or outside DO NOT let this happen again. COME ON BRITAIN WE NEED TO STOP THIS"

DNA is not and never will be 100% reliable.
1) The police deleted all duplicate DNA records, because they weren't supposed to happen.
2) People can have duplicate DNA. Statistically its rare. But thats not impossible.
3) Its even easier to find a match for a partial fragment of DNA than the whole strand.
4) Countries that have corporal punishment and capital punishment still have high rates of ciolent crime, and re-offenders.

I believe in corporal punishment, especially with the advances made in technology. I believe what is holding it back is human rights. Not that I don't think human rights doesn't do good things and shouldn't be around but they let way to many people fall on them as if they are the victim. With many places around the world, they almost provide a bed and breakfast for these criminals instead of jails. Recently here, the inmates complained about the way of living in the jails , that it was not comfortable and it was a dumpy place. We are now upgrading the jail for them, it is sick. Wonder why they keep doing what they do, it is a pleasant place for them. If they were treated as they should be , and longer sentences, I doubt as many people would think to so easily break the laws. The punishment should fit the crime though, like with the ones you mentioned, corporal punishment should not be a question in thoughs cases.

I've always agreed with corporeal punishment (to an extent), I really don't see how DNA relates to it though. Please elaborate?
I believe in capital punishment as well but on rare occasions, like a terrorist should not be put to death because its what they want. Murderers, child molesters and rapist should be. Murderers however should be a case by case basis rapists and molesters always.

I think everyone is a better person after a good beating, and it should be done on a regular basis whether one has been caught doing something or not.
We are all guilty of something, its just we haven't been caught. That's the way I was brought up, children are especially guilty I was told, and a beating or two or three or more a day never did me any harm, not a bit of it.
So beat lash and leather away, but don't kill them 'cause you won't be able to beat them some more.
THIS REFERS TO YOU AS WELL YOU WRONGDOERS, which you all are.

The Isle of Man was the last to do away with birching of people. I hate to admit that there was a 60% rise in crimes of violence the following year. Are we becoming so humane that we no longer control yahoos?

I am confused. Do you mean "capitol punishment"?
I always thought that corporal punishment involved spanking. . . I think some of the criminals would enjoy that a little too much. . .

I have always supported capitol punishment. Especially for people that commit heinous crimes against children and the elderly. They just need to bring back hanging. It's cheap. Who cares what kind of pain these degenerates feel? I don't. Let them suffer just like they made their victims suffer.
