Megalomania is a psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence - often generally termed as delusions of grandeur. It includes an obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions. It is sometimes symptomatic of manic or paranoid disorders.

There was a book written by Fritz Redlich, M.D. entitled "Hitler: Diagnosis of a Destructive Prophet"
The evaluation of the book by James R Merikanagas, M.D says:
"Unfortunately, a psychiatric evaluation requires not only a detailed history but also a medical-physical examination, a mental status inventory, laboratory tests, and sometimes brain imaging. Some of this information may be gleaned from historical sources and the medical records that exist, but Redlich, in the end, does not provide the promised diagnosis that the title leads the reader to expect. After 448 pages we learn, "Er war ein schlechter mensch" [He was an evil man]. "

Hitler was a very intelligent & talented man... not alot of people know that he was a failed painter. One of the reasons why I think he hated & targeted the Jews was because when he returned injured & honoured after WW1 - he tried to sell his paintings... but because Jews art ( paintings ) were more popular than his own he was subjected to severe poverty. A fact whch I honestly believe contributed to the apparent extermination program under his instructions 2 decades later.

I think he was a megalo-ego-maniac. I judged him to be quite a sociopath for his "final" solution in which he showed himself to be devoid of conscience for suggesting that the answer to his woes was the systematic execution of a race(s) of people. He was like a racist having a really bad power trip.
I personally think he was very sick in many ways. I'm glad he didn't have any children. Or did he?

He had an uncurable disease not mental illness. It's called N.A.R (Nazi-Antisemitist-Racism)
The thing is it has never been eradicated and it's highly contageous amongst caucasians.
But in the past 20 years the gene causing this disease has been known to mutate and transmit itself to other human species.

Parkinsins had nothing to do with it, Hitler was a Sociopath, he had a theory, and he had the power to attempt to make this sociopathic idea come true.

I think he was a narcissist myself. But maybe I don't understand it's definition totally.
He was a sick radical, just like there are radical Muslims and radical (fundamentalist) Christians.
If you get a chance, watch the movie called "Jesus Camp".
It seems that most wars in history were caused by people who were over zealous in their religions.

He was a megalomaniac, obsessed with issues of race, nationality, and pride. His was not so much organic as perhaps social. If it hadn't been him, it would have been another German or Austrian.
