what is the best "two way radio" with the longest range out there and actually lives up to its claim?

I own a moving company, and would like to keep in touch with my drivers without having to pay fees for a telephone.

you should just get nextel

Anything over 2 watts requires a license and a test from the FCC.

2 Watts will go about 5 miles in perfect conditions and about 2 miles in the real world. These are know as FRS family radios.

GMRS are the ones that require the license.

In either case, get rechargeable NiMH (nickel metal hydride) batteries...The higher the mAh the better (ie, 2500 mAh, milli-amp per hour)
