Mainly, you need to keep it clean. Wash your hands before you apply whatever concoction you decide to put on it. Some say ointment, some say lotion. I use ointment the first two nights (only) right before bed. Then I use fragrance free lotion. Don't pick the scabs, and don't scratch it. That's the hard part.

yeah I also heard that neosporin replaced right into a no no. particularly with the tattoos that I easily have, I placed some bacintracin for like numerous week, about two times an afternoon at maximum so the ink would not run (too a lot lotion or ointment is undesirable). After the first week I only follow aveeno for some days and then once an afternoon if it seems uninteresting. I many times attempt now to not moist it too a lot in the course of the therapeutic procedure even though it does help the scabs come off. Then I only pat it dry. i wish this nicely help so once you get your next tattoo you've more desirable or a lot less of an theory. i do not imagine you'll have a situation with the only on your neck as long as you stop using the neosporin.

You gotta keep it clean and moist. I swear by A&D ointment. I've tried all kinds of different products from Neosprin to Tattoo Goo, but really A&D is the best. The main thing is that you don't really want it to scab, because that can cause it to lose color and look like crap. Oh, and if you live in a warm state, stay out of swimming pools til it's healed! Chlorine isn't good for new tatoos.

didn't your artist tell you?
for the first three or four days put A+D a few times a day. wash your tattoo about three times a day and PAT it dry. after you are finished with the a+d put a fragrance free lotion on the tattoo a few times a day until it is completely healed. the scabs have come off and it is finished itching. good luck!
