well, i think you're using 'tabs' instead of 'windows'. Tabs are the blue things about 1/8 from the top of the screen. Windows are the things that are the whole screen(which you press the red "X" in the corner to close). If you ARE using tabs, then just right click on the tab and press close(or just simply click on the mouse wheel on your mouse if you have one). If you are actually talking about windows, then i suggest maybe looking it up in the help topics(help>context and index).

You have to open each page in a new instance of Internet Explorer. When you click on a link and it opens in a new window, it is still loaded in the same instance of IE. If you manually open IE and go to a page and it crashes, only that window will close and all the other will stay open.
