When you burn body fat it takes from wherever it wants to. You cannot spot reduce your body. Cardio burns body fat. When you start working out it takes 20 minutes for your body to break down the glycogen in your body, after that its straight fat burning. Try doing cardio for 45 or 20 minutes of weight lifting, and 20-30 minutes of cardio. Only do it 3 days a week though. It gets really tiring.

2 sure things:
1. Get in the habit of always always holding your tummy in...after a while your abs are comfortable this way.
2. CRUNCHES. Start small---do 20 in the morning, then build to where you can do 100 both AM and PM. This helps a lot with #1. You'll be amazed what a difference these 2 things make!

Sorry to the other guys that answered on here but a common misconception is that crunches will help you "lose" your stomach. This is not true at all. Crunches build your stomach muscle so that when you do lose your belly fat, you have some nice abs underneath. If anything, crunches can make your stomach appear bigger. If you want a flat tummy, just focus on cleaning up your diet and losing some fat. Exercise is really important. And so is patience. Sometimes, the tummy can be one of the hardest places to lose fat because your body drops fat as a whole. You can't 'target' one place. If you don't want to go to the gym, try and do some running or exercising from home.

It is wrongly believed that can you can lose weight only in certain parts of the body. Some areas bulge or appear more fat due to the lack of muscles. Common abdominal exercises like sit-ups, crunches and leg raises are of a very short duration (usually less than a minute) and do not burn many calories. Doing these exercises helps in the toning and firming of stomach muscles. If the stomach muscles are stronger, the waist may appear slightly smaller. hi there, try using a couple of metabolism boosters that will burn the fat only. Get some tried and tested stuff and not the products in your local store. try myhealthabcmall.com and lok for total control and herbal concentrate, they have worked well for me. Works much better when you work out too, really targets the fatty deposits. There is an email link on there to a nutritional expert wo you can ask for advice. I lost 6 inches off my waist and only droped 12 pounds, whih is exactly what I wanted. good luck

Jump rope, jogging, walking. Drink water, don't drink the soda pop even if its diet. Use a slimfast shake and protein bar for lunch.

Maybe you can incorporate more veggies and fruit in your diet.

Don't use condinments. Skip the mayo, ketchup, mustard, salad dressings!
