Will one camshaft work for crankshafts with different strokes?

You could use the same camshaft with no problems, so long as you made sure the top of the piston wasn't coming too close to the valves. It may not be the ideal cam, but it'll be close. Engine manufacturers often do this. Many camshafts will work with any given crankshaft. Combustion chamber and size, valve size, intake and exhaust restriction, expected operating rev range - these are the things that a camshaft needs to allow for. A longer crankshaft means a little more torque, and a little more power, at a little lower revs.

It would be a very complicated system if it did.
