Someone i know keeps getting small red 'patches' on her face? They are not like spots, but flat, under the skin. Could this be stress/hormones/bacteria?

Rosacea (acne rosacea) is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by facial flushing, telangiectasias (dilatation of the capillaries on a body surface), erythema (reddening of the skin), papules, pustules, and in severe cases, rhinophyma (nodular enlargement of skin of nose). Diagnosis is based on characteristic appearance. Treatment depends on severity and includes topical metronidazole, topical and oral antibiotics, rarely isotretinoin, and, for severe rhinophyma, surgery.

" Stuart F " makes a good point. If you are using a condom, it could be an allergic reaction to latex. There are non latex condoms available. Latex is used widely in society and especially in medicine. If she determines that she is allergic to latex, she needs to find a way to put it in her medical files ( she has privacy there ), and to let family members know. This can be serious and cause complications, in extremes it can cause anaphylactic shock and lead to death. Maybe I preach too much on this, but I have a family member that is allergic to latex and we found out by accident.
