What type of lube-oil for a hair trimmer?

What type of lube-oil for a hair trimmer?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a home-found product I can use to lube my electric hair shaver or do I have to go out and find a duplicate of whatever it is that came with the trimmer?

a light oil, like 3 in 1 will do fine

Mineral oil should do the trick.
