Don't! You want to give him the respect he deserves and you want to keep fond feelings between the two of you. It's better to cut the cord completely, then to let things die a slow death. You've leaving too much room for resentments that may never be forgotten or forgiven. Examine whether your efforts are aimed at making it 'make sense' to him or to you. I'd hate to think I spent time with someone that felt the way that you do. Honesty is always the best route to take.

Here's how my wife used to get rid of her flavor of the month, when she felt it was time to either fish or cut bait, she'd tell him that she had some sort of rare, incurable, terminal disease, that she would have for about 20 years before it eventually killed her, and he could expect projectile vomitting, explosive diarrhea, hair loss, and uncontrollable limb spasms and she needed to know right then if he was in it for the long haul and if he had any reservations, she needed him to leave right then as friends. The one guy who didn't run, she married. He's a keeper too.

well for starters the BEST thing is to always be busy.
He calls-you can't talk ur doing something
He wants to go out-you can't you have other plans
He wants to talk blah blah etc- "can we do this later? I'm busy"

Then when he's talking to you pretend like you're not paying attencion and if he asks something be like "oh I'm sorry what" or "huh"

Then pick fights about everything from the color of his shirt to where you should spend vacation.

That should do it :)

Start having more girls only nights out. Start missing phone calls. Do things you know he does not like. How about celebrating July 4th, Christmas, or New Years Eve with family only or girls only. Stop being with him everyday.

Girls like you are what creates abusive relationships. How about use words to form sentences and communicate. Unless you are ashamed because you know you are wrong.

Please DO NOT DO THAT!
we man have feelings too....and he might not feel the same way as you do ...it will hurt him like hell
just tell him straight up

my ex of 5 years was doing that to me and the worst feeling of my life...HONEST!
there is nothing worse to suspect that you mean nothing to someone who means everything to you
dont play with him....sure if you tell him straight it will hurt but not as bad if you keep draging it
imo
if my ex was honest with me when I asked her if something is wrong insted of lying to me ...maybe we could still be friends but now she means nothing to me...she is just another person
and to think I wanted her to be future mother of my kids, lol

don't play games with him. just tell him. the more you leave him wondering what the hell happened, the more you're leading him to get pissed off. you're better off just letting him know straight forward.

Avoid him!... pick point at reasons why you two shouldn't be together.... care less... but don't cheat or flirt... he may call you a slut, flirt or what so ever.
