Prom is in two months..but my friend needs a prom date..she does not have a boyfriend, but needs a date for the prom, she dont wanna be alone on prom night for senior year..what can she do? please advise asap thanks bunches

well April i would tell your that she just needs to go out and get one of her guy friends or just go with someone as friends. If she can not find anyone maybe she will be ok.......A friend or just a stranger. she is not obese..i think i know what friend you are talkin bout lol....bye gurl!

I want my beat up old Toyota truck to turn into a new Mini Cooper overnight tonight, but that ain't likely to happen either.
You actually lay out 2 very different issues; one being not having a date for prom; and 2 being alone. Those are not synonymous. For the first one, it depends on how high her self esteem is, and from your post I'd rate it pretty low. I didn't get an invite for my prom because I was the "dyke girl" in a redneck hick school that didn't allow same sex dates at prom lest it bring about the second coming of Elvis or something. So I asked around the theatre/drama people, who were also freaks like me, and found a guy who wasn't planning on going and we hit the Goodwill and bought grundge gear and "crashed" the ball. We had a blast.
If she's a fainting wall flower this won't work for her and she should either go with a group of people, or blow the whole silly mess off since it won't make a fart in a whirlwind's difference to her in 10 years anyhow.

Maybe she can ask her dad to take her to the prom? Or herlittle brother if she has one or the dorkiest dude in school (of course, he'd like that)... better suggestion, look out for that not so dorky guy, he might be the next best thing... who knows?

Does she have a relative that could escort her? Do any of her friends have someone that could go with her? And finally, she doesn't "need" a date, going with friends is OK too.
