I'm leaning towards Winky but I think this is a pick 'em fight.

It remains to be seen how much Hopkins will have to strain himself down to 168. With hard training, Winky doesn't really have this problem.

Both are very good defensive, thinking fighters, are not terribly powerful, and have reasonably solid chins. Hopkins has the edge in power, Winky in speed.

Winky won't go looking for Hopkins, but I think will seek to encamp himself in the centre of the ring, and shoot out accurate shots at Hopkins. In against Winky, Hopkins will look to actually have an exciting contest for once, and press forward, and move in and out to throw shots if Winky controls Ring centre, and therefore risking being countered more often than he would like by Winky.

I think Winky wins a split decision in a close tactical battle. I am scoring this one 7 rounds to 5 in favour of Winky. Soz, Bernard fans.

This is a hard fight to pick. One reason is because at Super middleweight, neither fighter is fighting at a weight that they are used to, even though Hopkins did move up to Light Heavy to face Tarver. Hopkins looked good at 175 but how will moving down affect him at 42? And how will Winky be affected moving up to 168? I look for Bernard to be really aggressive in this fight because Winky doesn't have a lot of power to get Bernard's respect. And Hopkins does well against southpaws, but he's never fought one as good defensively as Wright is. This is a fight between two highly skilled, intelligent fighters so the fighter that's disciplined enough to stick to the game plan will win this fight, and i think that fighter is Hopkins. Winky still feels he has a lot to prove and he may try to go right at Bernard and get away from what he should do, which is box, use that good right jab, and keep Hopkins at bay with good defense. I think he'll try to engage Bernard into a slug fest like he did with Jermain Taylor, and that will be his mistake because he'll give Bernard to many opportunities on the inside and Bernard can rough him up and attack his body. Hopkins is the naturally bigger and stronger fighter and he'll want to fight in close. I see a good, tough, and close win for Hopkins. Both fighters can take a good punch and neither has devastating KO power so it will go the distance. Hopkins by a split decision in a very close fight.

Hopkins is like wine. He gets better as he ages. Wright, on the other hand, is consistent. This would be a great fight. I don't think, however, that Hopkins would allow Wright to have him fight his way. I think Hopkins will trick Wright to fighting his fight. Winky may have great defense, but hopkins has even better defense. Hopkins will make you pay if you miss him. Wright will only jab you and keep you away and just pile up on points. Hopkins will try to close the show if you miss him. You saw how Tarver payed for his mistake. Hopkins countered him and he was knocked down for the first time in his career.
This, indeed, is a pick-'em fight. Wright is wily and slick, but B-Hop has better ring generalship and power. Stamina is equal. Both men look to fight for twelve rounds. Hopkins will knock you out when he knows he can. In the end, Hopkins will get a majority decision. Scorecards will read: 116-112,Hopkins; 117-111,Hopkins; and 114-114.

This is an interesting match up both fighters are in excellent shape there are a lot of similarities Bernard is the bigger fighter and he punches harder hand speed goes to Wright and Wright throws more punches I think the fighter that stays focus through out the fight wins so I will pick Hopkins even if he is and old fighter by split decision this fight will be a chest match so if you like great technical boxing you will be in heaven

The blogbaba has to believe boxing cannot continue to rob Wink the way they have in the past. Wink beat Vargas when Fernando was in his prime, and Beat Taylor after Taylor took Hopkins's title, and both times got robbed on the cards. If it goes the distance, and it will, Wink will beat Hopkins too, but who gets the W is up to the judges. The score cards are no friend of Wink, but the blogbaba has eyes that see, and knows boxing, and Wink may be better than Floyd Mayweather at it, even if Floyd is undefeated.

Blogbaba's pick: Winky Wright by decision.

The Executioner takes it. Winky "Crybaby" Wright" cannot handle the speed and power of Bhop. Even at 42 years old he can hold his own. I predict Bernard to beat his a*s for 12 rounds and get the decision. Wright will get pissed off and say he won the fight for weeks.

It really depends on how Hopkins fights, If he fough like he did against Tarver then I pick Hopkins in a close one. It won't be a very exciting fight since both are defensive fighters

I'll have to with B-Hop if his age doesn't show. Both fighters are counter punchers and good on defense. Hopkins is too smart a fighter and will stop Winky in th 11th rnd (TKO)

Two top fighters. This will be a close fight but I think Wright will take the decision.

Wright by decision.

Ron - Winky - has clever boxing skills and just enough power and youth to keep the old Executioner at bay.
