Cults brainwash their members to do dangerous things like kill themselves or perform weird sex acts.

If you do not have the wisdom to ascertain what is a religion and what is a cult, you are safer being an Atheist. You would be like a lamb to the slaughter. Religions exist, and cults exist, WISDOM is the common sense to differentiate the two.

A cult is any group that indoctrinates children before they are old enough to logically evaluate what they are being told and then reinforces the indoctrination with threats of violence.

Hell fire and damnation or other threats of Judgment, punishment or violence are good examples of what I am talking about.

From my personal view of the soup pot The tomato is indistinguishable from the tomahto.

I think both religions and cults are dangerous. Believe what you want to believe and keep it to yourself, that's what I say.
