I wrote this one early this morning but it is not traditional to say the least. Traditional = Boring.
On Valentine's Day
hi de ho, to the furnace let's go!
will this functioning stop
in times of romance
In times of rage?
unchain my soul
don't toy with my sanity
spare us the storm
the fear of disappearance
i will obey
all the nonsense
you always say
you knew i was a rambler
before you tied 17 knots
and sent the butcher to paradise
we will wait until your ecstasy begins
the claw will wait ‘til after sunlight
singleness of purpose
i'd bet it's dry
the organ tells you it's ok to feel sad
to smile at the penguins
with tears for free
your girl friend has stolen
the labels off your back
your girl friend just left
for Malibu with the peanuts and cracked seasons
of swagger and dust
i need your snicker
and floating body
the monks would agree
and find easy ways to lose
we could win
or fix the deer
which secrets will you sell?
yourself, you could find lies to tell
deeper blue, the brightest eyes
confuse the parents,
fix the sugar cane secret closets of lust
listen to your sadness
enough badness
i can't eat; i can't breathe
while Edith escapes the paradise chimes
Here I am
but you don't care tonight
to pat the velvet
i have not finished yet
that is a foot towel
by our definition of a door mat
we may forgive your general adversity
but not your liver complaint!
rolling stones still gathering rust:
those who sleep will find the ditch
those who run will miss the itch
one more time
i'll wait for you to
hold my elbow
look up to the sky
we'll eat some cashews
before we say good bye
catch some fish
fix the pond
it pains me
watch the robots
measure a dish
then the…. we'll say, my dear friend, enough!
define your preposition
refine your actuary position!
i know you
a tree amidst the claws
who dropped the pen
we let drip the fountain
of closet desires
and unrequited stars
with jaws of clay and jowls
the color of ugliness
i know you, your simple wish
you buy stuff
we see bridges
crows gather life
funerals pass without pain
the rain will contradict your passion
violet widows sow strife
crows crave love.........

How's this one?
Mornings
Woke this morning
Birds singing in the trees
Curtains flowing
On a cool morning breeze
My mind felt clear
From a good nights sleep
We smiled at each other
No need to speak
We’ve been together long enough
So She knows the deal
With just a look
She knows
Exactly what I feel
Moments like these
Filled with sweet bliss
A woman like her
Means True happiness
The last face I see
When I say good night
The first face I see
At mornings first light
The comfort I get
Just knowing she’s there
The love that I feel
Just knowing she cares
If I get restless and start to fuss
There’s nothing in this world
That I crave as much
As Her soft gentle voice
Her familiar touch
What could I tell you
What more can I say
It’s a beautiful way
To start off my day

Even though we fight a lot, I love you.
We fight, I think, because the stakes are high.
I sometimes get so mad I cannot stand you,
But underneath my anger I could cry.
I have an uncontrolled need to control you,
To be your only destiny and guide.
I know it isn't fair to try to mold you,
But my poor love's entangled in my pride.
Ah, love! Please love me even in my fury,
Which rises like a tide beneath the moon.
I plead before my only judge and jury:
I want to change, but know change won't come soon.
Love finds it hard to let the loved one be
The person who is loved so passionately.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.
Shakespeare's sonnet 18. Beautiful.
