Personally, I do not liquify natural gas, I let the oil companies do that for me. The answer is: pressure and temperature. Raise the pressure and lower the temperature and the gas will condense in the same manner as water vapor condenses into liquid water. The problem with LNG is that at normal atmospheric pressure, it will not stay liquid, but vaporize, effectively it "boils", so the pressure has to be maintained to keep LNG a liquid.

change it into liquid form
cooling the gas will condensed it into liquid
