What is it about the Quran that makes it easy to remember? Even when you read it completely for the very first time, you tend to remember complete passages.
There are millions in the world who have memorized it whereas no other Scripture claims this. If someone knows any other Scripture by heart, he/she would be an exception but with this Book, it is a commonality.
Please refrain from insulting other Scriptures, they are sacred to me too (though I am a Muslim).

BECAUSE GOD MADE IT SO.

054.017 And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?

-even kids 5,6 years memorize it entirely.

For a person who does not know how to read arabic, the best way would probably be through listening to a reciter (preferably someone who recites clearly and slowly, like Qari Al-Husary) and repetition. Reading a transliteration of the Arabic in English would not convey all the intricacies of pronunciation, so learning how to read Arabic should be a high priority.

Because this is proof that these are the WORDS OF GOD. And be sure no one has the book who memorize like Muslim 5 year kid can do, word by word and letter by letter by giving the right pronunciation to every word.

But again there are certain other obligations which should be followed also, only memorizing is not enough.

I think it depends on your heart and how much you want to learn it and how much you love it and understand it , and awan really I think that you are special from your questions and answers I felt that you really love islam and respect other religions too..and the best thing is that your answers are great I wish I can answer like you but my english is not that good..and you want to do something for islam...thats why god making it easy for you . I know that you are asking in general and I am answering personal but you are an example for every one. Allah la yahdi man ahbabt inma allah yahdi man yashaa, I am trying to translate it but I can't..allah doesnt give hedayat for whom you love but he give it to whom he wants (he ,means the person himself if he wants el hedaya he will have it) so you wanted it and you are following Islam thats why god is opening the ways for you and making it easy to you, so you are an example and so for any one who want to learn the word of god and his heart is open god will help him through....the more the person read the Quran with understanding the more he will want to read more and more because the Quran itself is a miracle..good luck for you and by the way I am learning a lot from you thank you very much and god bless you....cheers :-)

It's just a book. No mystery. The Bible, is so full of mysteries, that it will teach you a revelation every time you read in it, if you have a teachable spirit.
