Your boss will know, thats if you work for somebody.Starting a business myself. And i know i do , have to get public liability insurance as i can not get contracts without it. I believe if you own your Courier company you do.

If doing it for 'Hire or Reward' then YES - otherwise you could be sued for everything you own.
The nominal amount is 1 million pounds, at a cost of pennies, so it's worth it.
Your insurance company needs to know too, or you invalidate your cover.

If you are working for yourself, then most definitely. If you are employed by a company, then check and see if they are covered. If they are, then you should be indemnified, or covered under their policy. The wisest thing is to check on it, and see where you stand.
