People commit acts of faith every day. When you sit down, you have faith that the chair is really there or still there. So when they deny that atheists have faith, they're more angry about the word "faith" than using their intellect.
Atheists must have faith that human beings do not make mistakes because all your "proof" of everything is man-made. I don't have that much faith. I believe in God, which never lets me down.

Yes it takes faith to believe there is no God. Not as much faith as it takes to be a theists, but Faith non the less.
Atheists base their belief system on science, which has not found and proof of the existence of God. But the fact that the proof hasn't been found yet, doen't meen that God doesn't exist. Gravity existed far before Issac Newton proved his theory, even though science hadn't discovered it.
Athiests base their belief on knowledge gained from our earth. It is a miniscule fraction of the available knowledge in the universe. Therefore God cannot be conclusively proven as nonexistent. Without that proof, it takes faith to believe that he doesn't exist.
BUT just because it takes faith, doesn't negate the atheist belief. It requires a lot more faith to believe in teh existence of God. When observing the state of humanity, it has become clear that his followers are insane, blowing up buildings, killing each other, and fighting over his true will. Christians say he is Jesus, Muslims say he is Allah. He obviously doesn't care enough to clear this up, and is happy to let his followers kill themselves and others. That is assuming he exists of course.

No faith at all. Faith is the assured expectation of things not seen. Scientific skeptics like myself require evidence, things we can see, touch, hear, taste, and smell. Our reality is based on what is. People of religion are welcome to believe and have faith in anything they want, as long as their religion does not interferee with my right to not believe in things not seen, to question that which has no bases in fact. If your religion does interfer with my rights, then I also have the right to openly and aggressively refute, challenge, question, or even mock beliefs that I see as silly and based in old myths that have nothing to do with the real world.

It does take faith - you must have faith in yor ability to reason, in whatyou beleive to be the truth - because it is without doubt the biggest gamble or possible mistake any human could make
The stakes are eternal slavationa dn happines or eternal damnation and torment - if God exists.
If he doesn't exist you lose nothing by being a believer, in fact they tend to be much happier, as an atheist you gain nothing by being one except people may dislike you and you might have turned the world more angry through bad arguments and unoriginal arguments taht have never held sway with the least intelligent, let alone the educated

Atheist don't believe that they were created by God? I think that it takes more faith to believe that I came from a monkey, than to believe that I was created by God. I know that I was created by God!! To believe that we were once apes is just stupid! How can anyone believe that? Atheist are not stupid, just the theory that we came from monkeys.

No. It takes no effort whatsoever. It's not as if it's a state of being that we're constantly aware of. Except for out here where it's made such a big deal of.
I spend most of my waking hours NOT giving it a thought.

It takes as much faith not to believe in god as to not believe in the FSM or Santa Claus.

"Faith" is believing in something which you know, intellectually, can't possibly be true.
I have beliefs, but they have nothing to do with faith. I believe in mankind. I believe in science. I believe in the Constitution and the rule of law. I believe I'll go get some more coffee.
