more impurities in the blood than other times

Usually it depends on how diluted the urine is and what you've been consuming. For example if you drink stuff with caffeine in it, or alcohol you kidneys will become less permeable to water (meaning more water will pass through your kidneys into you bladder) which will make you have to urinate more and also make the urination clearer.

Another example. If you take vitamin C tablets. You body can only handle a certain amount of vitamin C at one time, anything more than this amount and you urinate the excess - thus making your urine brighter in colour.

As for smell. Have you ever eaten asparagus? Did your urine smell funky after eating it? What you eat can change the smell. Asparagus is probably one of the smeller urine makers.

I would imagine there are also physical conditions (diseases, bacterial infections, STDs etc) that can change the colour and smell of your urine but I've never had any of them.

It depends on several things. It depends on what you eat, and drink for one, and how your body breaks down food or it could very well be a condition if it is very dark as seen in cases of hepatitus. Things that can influence the colour are candy, drugs and vitamins, a urinary tract infection, food dyes, and as mentioned earlier Viral hepatitis or chirrosis.

Dark brown or clear urine is characteristic of a liver disorder such as acute viral hepatitis or cirrhosis. Clear urine can also be from consuming a lot of water so don't stress too much.

Pink, red, or smoky brown urine can be a side effect of a medication or may be caused by the recent consumption of beets, blackberries or certain food colorings.

In the end, there are lots of reasons, and if its is unusually dark and conitinues for a couple days, you best make an appointment with your doc.

If a person is dehydrated, it'll be darker cause it'[s more concentrated. Also, it might be stronger smelling. If someone has an infection, it can be as described. If a person has liver trouble, and is spilling bilirubin into their urine, it'll definetly be darker and stronger smell. If a person has significant blood for whatever reason in their urinary tract system anywhere, it might make it darker, but not necessarily stronger smelling. Hope this helps!

A lot depends on your liquid intake. The more you drink the more diluted your urine is. You also will find that the smell is reflective of certain foods that you have eaten. If you eat a lot of fish, you will get a slightly fishy smell from your urine, the same with certain spices.

It's a sign of your hydration. If you drink enough water, the urine is clear. If you don't drink enough, or the body doesn't have enough nutrients...the urine is yellow and the smell gets stronger.

It depends on how much water/liquids you drink. If the urine is dark and more odorous then that means you are not drinking enough liquids. When it is pale yellow and almost no odor then that means you are drinking plenty of liquids.

I depends upon your level of hydration. If you are well hydrated you urine contains more water and a lower concentration of urea. (essentially your pee is watered down). If you are not well hydrated you pee has a greater concentration of urea leading to a stronger color and odor.

It depends on how concentrated your urine is (ie. the amount of minerals and uric acid in there will determine color and smell)
