someone you can tell anything too and they do not repeat it unless you want them to. They are always there for you no matter what time or day it is.

A true friend is someone who:
1. Will tell you you've got somethin in your teeth when no one cares to tell you (honest)
2. Will scold you when you are planning to do/doing/done something that will hurt you or make you bad (concern)
3. Knows what you like and don't like (aware)
4. Will give you his/her arms, legs, head etc. when you need one (willing to sacrifice)
5. Someone whom you're comfortable being with (chemistry)
6. Criticize you're imperfections, laugh at your jokes, but has no intention of hurting you
7. MOST OF ALL, A TRUE FRIEND CANNOT BE ALL THAT'S BEEN SAID FROM 1-6. Having a friend with at least 3 in the above criteria is definitely one worth cheerishing for.

A friend is not true if you have to use "true" before a "friend". Either there are friends or there are no friends. It's a pity that we have to apply "true" to the value-carrying words like friend and love.
If you find someone who does not expect anything from you, but still cares for you, loves you, and is ready to do anything for you, then you have got a friend. Friendship is not a formal relationship, and you can find a friend in your classmates, colleagues, father, mother, brother, sister, wife or husband. Don't be afraid if you can't find one, because it is not easy in today's world! The good news is that even if you can't find one, you can be a friend of someone! Isn't friendship an expectation-less informal relationship?

Friendship is a part of everybody's life.Friends are very important in our life.A true friend is who shares both our happiness and sorrows.They are the first person who help us in time when we are in need of help.Friends are the precious gifts in each and everyone's life.They are our well wishers.Without a friend in our life,our life would be like a desert.

when there is no space for misunderstanding to creep in between u nd ur friend. when all u want is to see and make eachother happy. where trust is so much, but still u don't expect anything. when not even in the worst of situation u doubt ur friend. when u can express urself freely to eachother without any fear and not even be afraid of sounding foolish. when u hv complete freedom of opinion, and u understand tht u need not share each and evry bit of ur life. u hv found and are a true friend.

I think a true friend is the one who helps you at all stages. Also the one who believes you even when a billion are against you. One who encourages and supports you all the time.

One that will be sitting beside you when you are in jail, and will help bury the bodies of those you kill. One that will cover your back when you are in need, and will pick you up when you fall. One that will laugh with you and not at you. There are so many different ways to define what a true friend is, and that definition also depends upon the person that you ask the definition from.

Here is the best definition of TRUE FRIEND I have ever heard.
A friend is someone who come bail you out of jail at 3AM in the morning, A true friend will be in the jail cell with you !!!!!!
It sounds flippant, but it does cut straight to the heart, a true friend will back you even when its against their own interest to do so.
