For the same reason thet there isn't Germland, Frenchland, Italand, Spanland. It's just the name that stuck.
Here are some Celtic names for England (ones that didn't stick!)
"Bro-Saoz" (Breton)
"Pow Sows" (Cornish)
"Sasana" (Irish)
"Sasainn" (Scottish Gaelic)
"Lloegr" (Welsh) — but "Saeson" for the inhabitants.
"Sostyn" (Manx)

Wales has land, until it reaches the water. That is the border of Wales.

Land at which end? It has got a lot of land at the end - the Gower penninsula, the Menai Straits, etc.

PS I think people misunderstand. You mean like EngLAND, ScotLAND, IreLAND I presume.
