I have a four year old daughter and a two year old son, I was just wondering the age at which Indiana considers her too old to be sharing a room with her brother. Right now, we are living in a house that is small, and they dont really share a room, well I guess they do, they sleep in seperate beds in the living room. But we are either moving late this year(2007), or early(2008). I just wanted to cover myself just incase their father(my ex) decides to get a burr up his butt. Thank you Megan

I hope there's no law against being too poor to afford more ample housing! If there is such a law, then the state should be obligated to *help* you get a bigger house.

I don't know about Indiana, but most states that I have lived in it's 5. Call your local DSS office and they will be able to tell you for sure. Do they have a bedroom? That is a concern. DSS guidelines are pretty much the same across the country give or take. And they do not like kids sleeping in the living room. Good luck, hope it all works out. Hope it helps.

I don't think there actually is a law, and I couldn't find one. However, once your daughter hits puberty, it would be better if she is seperated from him so that she has some privacy. Girls don't need a younger brother in their female business.
