I had a 24 hour stomach flu yesterday and my body/bones still ache a bit. I know it will end shortly but I am curious to know what causes this to happen...anyone know? Thanks in advance for your answers!!

It's not the bones but the muscles that ache when one has flu. It's the body's defense mechanism to increase blood flow and use the body's energy to cope up with the sickness. Because of this our muscles ache.

For muscle aches you pretty much have to go for something like Tylenol or Advil. Not much in the Natural medicine cupboard for that. Once you get the cold there's lots of things you can do, but make sure that's what you've got and not something more serious.

I was just wondering that this morning. I have had the flu for two days, and my body and bones ache. Good question.

It certainly does. This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Consult a doctor if it persists. You can also look for information in the web. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html
