People are going to traffic drugs. That is a fact of life and it is all about money. Over 50% of federal and 23% state prison population is due to drug crimes. That doesn't include crimes committed to finance their addictions. Both prison systems are above their 100% capacity. What disturbs me is the fact that some criminals, violent and otherwise are being released early to make room for people convicted for drug offenses.
I think that as long as there is a demand there will be a supply, so the solution would be to try to lessen the demand by educating and treating the addicts and to decriminalizing some of the softer drugs. I don't look for this to happen though.

I believe they way to deal with the problem is to legalize drugs,and I feel Devan is right we suffer a even worse problem with human trafficking.

I'm more concerned with human trafficking. Both are horrible things, but wow, modern-day slavery is just unspeakable.
