What kind of paint should I use? Acrylic or fabric paint, and do I need to dilute it? Also, do I paint the rubber part as well, or use permanent markers for that part?

Anyone experienced with painting sneakers? My sneakers are beige. I don't know what possessed me to purchase them in the first place.

They also have some fabric spray paint (check your local Joann's). Best way to do it would be to tape off the rubber parts, take out the shoelaces (of course), and spray away! Of course if it is canvas (and made mostly of cotton), you can use Rit Dye to dye it. It would be available at most grocery stores, Wal-marts and craft stores as well. It won't adhere to anything that's not cotton though it may tint the rubber a bit.

I'd use fabric paint. You shouldn't need to dilute it, but check the instructions first. You will probably need to wash your shoes afterward.

I'd leave the rubber part alone. Paint won't adhere well, and permanent markers tend to discolor on the soles.

buy paint for cloths at the craft store or places like that. Or if you just want to write on it (signatures, memories, etc.) then just use permanent marker. But I just recommend that you buy a new pair :D
