In case that on one palm the line is short and the other one is long which one should be considered ? And also does this tells u in any way the length of life ?

The right hand contains the information about that it will happen in short time ( some months or couple years: it depends on each person), and the left hand is about the future of long years later.
The life line starts between the thumb and the index finger. It then touches the wrist, curving widely around the thumb.
This line indicates longevity, vitality, and the quality of life.
1) An absent life line shows a sluggish and high-strung person, with a tremendous nervous energy.
2) A long and regular line indicates an excellent equilibrium and a healthy constitution.
3) A faint line indicates a lack of endurance, or a dull and uneventful life.
4) If the line is forked at its begining, it shows the person as just, truthful, loyal and dependable. 6) A double line is typical of the security offered by a loved one of the opposite sex. It also indicates a healthy sexual life. 7) Branches in the life line make a strong statement about the fortunes of the individual. While upward branches show achievement, glory and success, drooping branches indicate financial, social and emotional loss. A long and deep line shows an abundance of energy, and single-minded determination to reach goals.

You read the hand the person writes with, for a right handed person the left hand is the talents they were born with, the right hand should show what they have done.
The lenght of the life line does not indicate a long life, more so the health and well being, or natural strenght of character of the person. Loads of little lines crossing the life lines means they listen to others too much. A triangle on the life line shows a time of good luck. A circle or island shows a time of ill health,

It doesn't matter whether you are lefty or righty, but as per my knowledge, left palm is used for females for future prediction and right for males. Some people say that left palm is only seen after the girl is married. But still, your kundli can give better prediction. Only experts can read hands and faces..

You use both hands.
If you are right handed, the left hand represents what you were born with, and the right shows how you have changed it. Left-handers reverse this, of course.
The length of the Life Line is equally important as the depth and color of the line. Look also for its quality: is it nice and smooth and clean, or is it fractured or chained?
The ideal Life Line will be smooth and free of breaks, will be evenly engraved on the hand, and swing in a graceful curve away from the thumb.

In view of the fact that either would only produce meaningless info, it is utterly irrelevant. The length of any line merely tells you the length of the line!

I'd guess the right. In some cultures it is tabboo to make contact with another person with your left "unclean" hand.
As far as length of life it does not predict the length of life of identical twins with near identical physical characteristics.
