No, your question was about enabling JavaScript.

Java and JavaScript are not the same thing.

The "Java Logging" and "Java Console" options are just options on how Java will work with your browser. Those options do not enable or disable either Java or JavaScript.

If you are using Internet Explorer, the term used within the options is "Active Scripting". If "Active Scripting" is turned off, then you have disabled JavaScript. If you want JavaScript to be enabled, you will have to make sure "Active Scripting" is turned on.

I'm not sure of what exactly you have for Java on your machine. I'm not familiar with "java logging" and "java console" as separate software installations.

What the vast majority of people need from Java is the : Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

I would delete the "logging" and "console" parts and just install the JRE.

Simply go to: http://www.java.com

Its right on that page and all you have to do is click on the "Java Free Software Download" to get the JRE. It is a fairly large download so don't be impatient.

Hope this helps.
