I want to be more than friends with her....she knows that but we both have issues from the past that we need to resolve and get over it....
she needs to get over a divorce and I need to get over a break up from 5year relation ship

what else can I say in this message to make her aware that i like here more than a friend?

You don't have to tell her that you want to be more than friends, she probably already knows, and if she wanted more than being friends, you would know that by now.

Almost every girl over 24 knows that most of her guy "friends" are interested in more than a friendship, if that's what they could have.
Luckily, most guys are willing to hang in there and just be friends on the off chance something more could develop.
