When February 14th Arrives,
I know what they'll do,
The couples will come in tides,
And feel sorry for me and you.

When February 14th is here,
I know what they'll say,
Cheer up, my dear,
It's Valentines Day!

There'll be cuddling and loving,
and kissing too,
they'll do it so much,
it'll make us go "Ew!"

The shops will be smushy,
lovey dovey and red,
there'll be bears and music,
there'll be so much that it wont escape your head!

So beware, beware,
that sick-making time,
when everyone, everywhere,
will be speaking in Rhyme.

It's a good poem and I can certainly relate to parts of it. Couples can seem to be everywhere when you are single but are we sure they have more fun than us singletons?!

Happy Valentine's Day by the way! x

I like it and agree with it, I'm in a 14 year happy relationship but I think Valaentines Day is the most unnecessary and sick making holiday ever

I so agree with it. It makes the day just a touch more bearable knowing others feel the same as yourself! Happy Valentine's (for what it's worth!)

when feb 14th arrives,
i read sad peoms like this,
it makes me feels bad,
so here is a kiss

even though i have my man
i still feel cold inside
why should you singleton have to hide

i have been there
standing in your shoes
dont worry dont cry
stop feeling blue

come outside and join in the fun
you dont have to be a couple
to feel the love.

God did not "approve" of slavery, quite He knew that it grow to be a reality of existence. you are able to not carry 15th century BC people to 20 first century ad social criteria. We did not attain the point we are at immediately in one day, it grow to be a steady procedure. The guidelines and guidelines that God positioned on the Israelites touching on to slavery grow to be almost unthinkably strict for the day. it may well be almost staggering in the different u . s . of the day for a slave proprietor to be punished for the demise of his slave. also, it grow to be in trouble-free terms overseas slaves which will be slaves for existence; Israelites who entered slavery for regardless of reason ought to in trouble-free terms be slaves for a series era of time. touching on to slavery in that aspect period, it grow to be fairly the in trouble-free terms decision to address particular people, inclusive of prisoners of conflict and borrowers. you actually couldn't lock them up--the Israelites did no longer have prisons again then, and in the adventure that they did they may well be as horribly nasty as the different detention center in the previous the twentieth century. and they honestly couldn't kill them, even besides the undeniable fact that the surrounding international locations did such issues--and worse--to their personal POWs that they captured. And there grow to be no such aspect a financial ruin protection; if one Israelite owed money to a unique, and he defaulted, the in trouble-free terms discourse grow to be to serve a era of indentured servitude till the debt grow to be repaid.
