All the roads were flooded today on my way to work.... I really need to buy a 4x4 .... I have been looking and think a 02 freelander would be alright .... 1.8 ltr Auto.... so good on the fuel side.... Then buy a second hand 03/04 Audi TT roadster.... for the week ends....
A sensible car and a fun car....Rather than buying a brand new car....
What do you think ....?

I know £20k is not a huge amount.... the rest is going a 2nd property....

Have you considered a classic car? £20,000 could buy you a BMW 635csi in perfect condition and a classic Range Rover also in v.g.c. Another advantage in older cars is that the insurance premiums are much lower and parts are still easy to get hold off.

buy a diesel as the price of petrol is going up again and they are gonna tax everyone that drives a petrol. dont buy a 4x4 as you will get even more tax on that. i would recomend an astra vxr you could get one for 18k and spend the change on stuff for the house(if u still want a petrol) or a signum diesel the pimp car of the future.

Beam me up Snotty!! lol
Nice budget for a run-around ... I have an M3 which is just brilliant to drive and looks the business in carbon black. For 20k you could probably get one on a 52/53 plate.
