In today's age, where men have been hammered into compliance with respecting any version of "No", and worried about the economic and social repercussions of making an "unwanted advance", many of us are reluctant to approach a woman without her giving us an unequivocable sign.

You can ask a guy out but in the long run it never works...If they like you they ask!
Girls can fall for someone over time but with guys they decide pretty quickly whether you are someone they would date or not.
Encourage a guy...sure! Ask him out...you will take out all the fun for him!

No, I am old-fashioned lol, so I say I think the boy should ask the girl out. It's kinda weird if you ask me. I never would ask a guy out unless I was desperate.

I think the guy should ask the girl out first... but after the first date she can ask him out if he said he was interested in going out again sometime.

Of course!
I asked out my boyfriend after "seeing" eachother for a couple weeks, I just went straight to it and asked him. He thought it was cute, because well I wasn't as brave as I just made it seem.
I kind of mumble the words through a pillow and blushed like crazy, but the point is I just did it.
Its empowering to ask a guy out and in no way is it wrong.

Of course it is. If you don't make the first move maybe the guy will never ask you and you'll miss your chance. Do you only want to date the guys that like you or do you want to date the guys you like?

Yes you can ask him out, but remember your asking him out so that means your pay for the date or talk spite it 50/50. But I love it when my girl ask me out and then at dinner she reach for the check,
I tell her just because you bought my dinner don't think you don't own me you can do what you want to me later. (lol)
But in my book I think woman need to do more of the asking and if you know what you want go for it.

us guys(for me and other guys that i know ) have a hard time gathering the guts to ask girls out. Do us guys a favour and ask a guy out.
