What to ask before entering into an exclusive relationship?
The guy that I am seeing and I are discussing potentially going exclusive (we are both in our late twentys.) He e-mailed me a few questions about me to answer the next time we get together to help him make his decision. He asked me what I would like to know to help make me more secure that this is right. Okay...what should I ask?

You need to think hard and true. For starters, he wants you to identify what you think is really really non-negotiable important to you. It's a good thing to try to avoid wasting possibly years with someone whose values are just not compatible with yours. On the other hand, however, it sounds awfully close to "needing to qualify", which is a bit cold.

But money, sex, religion, children , etc.-- there needs to be some accord there...
