I had a family reunion and ate lots of pasta, breads, and sweets this weekend. I usually don't eat so much, but I stuffed on Friday and Saturday. Since Sunday, I have been on a restricted diet -- health foods, low calorie, lots of diet soda to stay full. My weight is up 3 pounds. Will this come off? Can you tell me when my weight might return to normal again? Thanks

It is probably just a scale blip... your weight tends to fluxuate by 2 or 3 pounds depending on the fluids you have drunk, the amount of sleep you've had, and if you have eaten a large meal within the last 24 hours. Don't worry too much about a gain that occurred in the last week. Count your calories to make sure that you are not overeating (you can still overeat on the health foods), and check back in a week.

For next time, start taking your waist and hip measurements. These tend to stay more consistant than the scale. It's a nice double-check before you start panicing.

well, as long as you just put on weight, don't worry you can easily shade these pounds. it always happens to me. you can go on a light diet and cardio for a week and you will lose these extra pounds OR if you want to shade them in less than week without any kind of exercises then try this:
eat any kind of fruits except banana and grapes for a whole three days and lot of water and any kind of hot drinks without sugar. this will shade the latest pounds you have gained.
