If shaving really made hair grow back thicker balding men would be shaving their heads every day. Its just not true. Shaving would have to somehow cause new hair follicles to spontaneously grow and that's just not possible. Or it would have to make the same hair follicles start producing thicker hair. Hair is dead it does not know when its being cut, the live follicle in the skin doesn't know, either. But when a hair is cut, its end is flat instead of tapered. It may have been lying flat and is now standing and more pronounced. This makes it look darker and thicker.
So- Shaving is completely fine. If you want the hair to go away permanently you can start waxing, after a year or so the amount of hair growing should be greatly diminished. When you're 18 (because you do need parental consent if youre under 18) go and get electrolysis - its expensive but you'll never have to buy another razor!

I don't know whether or not there are any legal reasons why you shouldn't have laser hair removal at 15. [Your mum may be thinking of tattoos, which are normally illegal for under 18s, or cosmetic surgery, which also has some legal limits on the age of the person getting it, depending upon the procedure.]
However, I would suggest that you read up a bit more on it before you book in, with or without your mum's consent & approval. Google "hair removal fda", and you should get some very interesting information.
I'm sorry the news isn't good: basically, it takes the skin about a month to heal from laser hair removal, and the hair only stays away for about 3 months.

Honey you are too young to damage your skin. Laser and electrolysis are both expensive and can cause you side effects. Some people have had scars from these methods. Shaving is a No, No. Don't even think about it as you will start growing stubble. Waxing, Bleaching or Creams are all chemicals which can cause shadows, rashes and darkened skin. Your best option is to thread your upper lip, but this too can cause spots, although temporary. I would suggest the best thing for your young skin, which will not cause any side effects and it's very safe to use is eze-tweeze which is like threading only you use a little wand to do it yourself and doesn't hurt much either. Have a chat with your mum, and I am sure she will agree that this is probably the safest thing you can do. All the best

Are you in for pain? Then I would suggest against it. I am getting my legs lasered now and I am 25. I would wait a while, it is expensive, and you never know how your hormone levels might spike. I would atleast wait until you are 18.
I'd try doing a Nair cream - they make a cook one in a bottle with a brush so you don't even have to touch it.

At your age, I would shave, bleach, or wax.
Having laser treatement does not mean the hair will be gone forever...it comes back but not as soon.
You will have to have electrosis, a needle put in every hair follical for it not to come back...Ouch!
By the way I shave, to get rid of those pesky little hairs!

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

try waxing or bleaching. Most laser centers won't work on you until you are 18, and part of this is that you are still growing and developing, and they don't want to mess around with lasers on you. Wait until your body has fully matured, and then consider it.

Yes - you are not old enough many salons will have an age limite - it might be 16 or 18 - check with them. If you are worried how about bleaching the area or having it waxed?
