Kene, I purchased a new Camry in 04 and while using Mobil 1 5w-30 we get 35 - 36 mpg. on trips and 28 in town. It's the four cyl. motor.

If you read Consumer Reports, you should know that EPA ratings are exaggerated. The camry does give you 25 MPG in the city and 29 in the highway.

I don`t know about the fuel economy but they must be about bullet proof. My neighbor has had one for about two years and has two speeds. Floored and brakes. She peels out every time she leaves ( dirt road) The car looks like it has been in a demolition contest but it still runs like a Swiss watch. It should have fallen to pieces a long time ago.
