Holy Cow ! Is there any justification in killing cows ?

Question

In India, the hindus do not harm , kill or eat cows. I have wondered why ?

Recently I made friends with an Indian girl & she cheerfully said " during our baby years , 80% of our diet is either mothers milk or cows milk "

So after drinking cows milk as a baby, how can you grow up & eat the same cow ?

Will you eat up your own mother ?

I found her logic good ........ what do you say ?

people are so ignorant, the person above is saying cows aren't aware that they are alive, that's ridiculous, they are aware, you're confusing it with a conscience and self-awareness, but it's still living and it still has a basic instinctual drive to want to live, and no one is claiming that their mother is a cow, they're just respecting the animal, why is that so hard?

You found that logic good? I don't know what to say, I really don't.
When you drink a bottle of water, do you throw out the bottle? How is that different from throwing out your mother? It's different because your mother isn't a bottle of water, just like she isn't a cow.
It would be immoral to kill and eat your mother because your mother is self aware. Unlike a cow or a bottle of water, your mother knows that she is alive.

Is there any justification to worship a mother, smear its dung every day, using its dung for purification of impurities, putting a lape of her dung on the walls and floors of ones house.

"Only human female can be one Hyman's mother not animals".

We should respect human being instead of worshipping animals.
There are casts system, fever of untouchable to lower casts humans and it is very strainge that animals are put in temples as gods. Is it all have any justification?
Due to not eating meat the people of India had never been able to rule over their own land in the whole history in the past. Always invaders have been ruling over here. As the local Indians loose management power due to physical weaknesses by not eating the meat.

Cows milk is very vital to the health & survival to a human baby.

Its just courtsey that we should not make a meal of the same animal that gave us milk during our early years.

However many religons just dont believe in gratitude or courtsey ...... its always exploit - exploit - exploit for the sake of our own greedy selves
