I used to feel like I was a very good judge of character and upon meeting a girl and going out a few times I thought I was able to determine if I was in love and that this person and I would have a good relationship. I have been in a few relationships that have caused me long spells of pure agony. Now I try to be more reluctant to let someone know how much I feel for them because it seems that once they know that they sort of use that to their advantage. Does any one else relate to me on this or have I just been in some bad relationships?

Thank you guys for your replys...I feel like I have learned somethinghere and feel like no matter what , it is better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all. Oh and just `cause I wasn`t detailed enough I want to say that I wasn`t just refering to looks and that first glance, I waskinda thinking after being around someone for the first five minutes I could know if I could love this person and have a hapy life together and gear that way.

yes, I definitely agree with you. though, I believe you don't know you love someone by first sight. you have to get to know them first. that way you two form a close relationshipnot based only on attraction

basically its true u can hav lov at first sight but may b dat might b becuz of a persons external beauty n der d guys go wrong
u must c d external as well as internal beauty of a girl n may b d girl u tak 2 is not a good one by nature so dis happens u got 2 b more choosy n try n judge d girl b4 u kinda get in2 a relationship ya best of luck 4 u r life n tak care !!!!!!!!

I relate. I am a visual person (am a female and am creative and into art and materiall, and being a leo I look for looks first when searching for a partner). Most guys are visual. We want what we see and that gets us into trouble. What we need to do is reverse that and look for inner beauty first (before outside beauty), for self preservation because otherwise things don't work out for us.
