Eggplant is a fruit although most people think it is a vegetable. Popovers are a type of bread you make to serve with dinner. Like a biscuit or dinner roll. Here are the real definitions:

Eggplant: Related to the potato and tomato, the eggplant comes in many varieties which range in color from rich purple to white. Eggplant can be baked, broiled or fried. There are many varieties of this delicious food, ranging in color from rich purple to white, in length from 2 to 12 inches and in shape from oblong to round.

Popovers: A popover is a light, hollow roll made from an egg batter similar to that used in making Yorkshire pudding. The name "popover" comes from the fact that the batter swells or "pops" over the top of the muffin tin while baking. They can also be baked in individual custard cups.

Hope this helps. Barefoot Contessa has an incredible popover recipe that can be found at foodnetwork.com

Popovers are a very light, hollow muffin made with eggs, milk, and flour. An eggplant is what the verbally challenged Americans call an Aubergine. Do you really mean popovers or did you mean papavers? If so then these are members of the poppy plant whose seeds are sometimes used in cooking.

Popovers are a variation of the Yorkshire Pudding created by the settlers in the US.

Eggplant is what our American cousins call the aubergine which is used in mousakka and lovely aubergine parmigiana - yum! It's also known as brinjal which is what people over here in South Africa call it.

My kids LOVE popovers. They are the same as Yorkshire pudding but instead of the juice from the roast beef you use eggs instead. You also put popovers into a cold oven THEN turn it on.

Eggplant is a veggie. It's a really good one but not everyone likes it. It requires a taste for it for sure.
