ME means Millenium Edition. Its basically the worst edition of Windows ever produced by Microsoft. It is plauged with problems and therefore they stopped producing it, soon to stop supporting it as well.
Do yourself a huge favor and upgrade to Windows XP Pro or Vista..

ME is a version of the Windows program that followed Windows 98 SE. It was the last in the Windows 95/98 line of programs.
It was on the market about 6 months before Microsoft introducted Windows 2000 (for business computers) and Windows XP (for home or business computers).
Microsoft no longer sells or supports Windows ME.

I believe that the ME stands for millinium Edition. Windows of course is a computer operating system, or the program that runs all the other programs on a computer.....without an operating system the keyboard, monitor etc or hardware just sit there and do nothing. It is written as lines of code....eeek! Talk about work to write it all! Anyway, not impressed with that particular operating system myself, but that is just an opinion. Hope that helps.
