And call Pagans Satan worshippers?... it's sheer nonsense and lies put about to discredit Pagans isn't it?
Why are Christians prepared to put about any vile untruth to further their own religion?
Do they realise they are doing this or have they been given a post-hypnotic suggestion to vilify others and therefore have no control over their actions?

fireball: Your dubious claim to be an exception from the majority of Xians (though there must be some)... still doesn't make me a liar

john_d_ay...: Sounds like you are saying Ted Haggard isn't gay but his boyfriend is, there's a tee-shirt that reads something similar "I'm not gay but my boyfriend is!"

The idea behind claiming that Pagan gods are Satanic is because Satan lied to people creating various forms of pagan worship to take them away from the true worship of God.

Today Satan still uses Pagan gods to lead people away, but, he also leads people astray by twisting the words of the Prophets in people's minds so that they run around trying to force people to worship the "right" way, or just kill people, blow things up, shoot abortion doctors, etc.

Satan also leads people away from Christ by getting them to do weird things like having a relationship with a homosexual masseuse or drug a woman and have sex with her or get a BJ from a hooker.

People are going to screw up and be forgiven when they repent or maybe they won't repent.

Everyone screws up, none of us is better than any other. Secularists and other religions hold sin against you for your entire life, judging you for the mistakes you make as opposed to the good you do.

Christians forgive.

PS:
To me a "gay" person is someone who has determined that material sexuality or sexual stereotypes defines the method of segregating the people they are willing to have an intimate relationship with. This is defining a new or different boundary in opposition to societal boundaries.

Someone who has a homosexual relationship is not segregating partners based on sexual stereotypes and instead is just having a relationship with a person, this includes all people willing to date outside of normal societal boundaries based on how they feel around a specific person.

In other words, Gay replaces a societal bigotry with a personal bigotry and the other is eliminating societal bigotries.

So someone who has a homosexual relationship is not necessarily gay any more than a white person must be a member of the KKK.

Christianity, as all of us recognize it today, replaced into only a robbery of almost each and every of the Pagan beliefs that were uncomplicated on the time. Christmas, and the start of Christ, are easily stolen from the Pagan party of iciness nighttime......the iciness solstice. there are quite some different examples, yet that one particularly stands proud. you spot, Paganism replaced into some distance larger than Christianity up till the three hundred CE era, that's even as Constantine (a non secular Paganist), in attempting to make peace with the increasing Christians, decreed that Christianity might want to be the "new" faith (actually, he sponsored the triumphing horse, inspite of if it replaced into against his personal own beliefs). devil, and the subsequent association with the devil and Paganism, is an instantaneous effect from Constantine's determination. The Christian's wanted to end paganism, and for this reason created the most sensible association they could to discourage human beings from following it......that it replaced into inherently evil, and replaced into governed by technique of a few scary demonic creature popular as devil. in case you talked about Pagan ritual, you've been seen evil by technique of association. This practise has lasted with the help of the centuries, and inspite of repeated efforts by technique of real Pagans to oust it, it continues to be firmly implanted in the Christian innovations. buddy, you received't end it........I received't end it.......and the subsequent one to go back alongside received't end it. We ought to easily undergo.

it is, indeed, true that "Satan" is a product of the three monotheistic, Abrahamic religions, and has no place in Pagan thought.

But that's really not the answer.

Monotheism is a black-and-white world. It's based on a false dichotomy, an assertion that there are only two positions: of Jehovah of of the "Devil".

This view of things is a fallacy of reasoning that omits consideration of all reasonable alternatives. Sometimes called the either-or fallacy, one poses what looks like a true dilemma--I must pick one or the other--when, in fact, there are other viable alternatives.

Paganism is one of those viable alternatives - that there is no "Devil" at all, and that "God" is not as they believe "Him" to be.

Because they don't know the real history of Christianity. If they knew, they'd know that a lot of the Christian holidays and traditions are based upon and coincide with Pagan celebrations.

The biggest example I can think of: Christmas vs Winter Solstice. Look here for more info on the origins of Christmas traditons as they relate to the Pagan celebration of winter solstice: http://www.m81.com/christmas_pagan_origins.php.

Not to mention that Easter that was celebrated by the Pagans long before Chirst was born. Look here for more info on Easter: http://www.zenzibar.com/Articles/easter.asp ... So you see, there are a lot more similarities than most Christians are willing to acknowledge.

The "devil" or "satan" comes from Christianity & most Pagans don't believe in the devil as it is a Christian concept. People who think Paganism is the same as devil worship are just ignorant. Don't worry about ignorant people, they aren't worth the bother.

Ok...I have to say something here. NOT ALL CHRISTIANS CALL PEGANS DEVIL WORSHIPERS!!! I am proud to be Christian. I have dear friends who are Pegan and they are definitely NOT Satan worshipers. I know they worship Mother Earth. It is their choice to worship in this manner and i respect that. But please do not lump all Christians together when you say these things.

Paganism may not be satanism, but it is certianly not of God. Still however, that gives no one a right to attack anyone else.

Christians are pissed because the Pagans fed them to animals. If you get rid of the competition your religion will flourish.
