can some body post a link to a site where i can download a free trial of photoshop, or anything i can download for free which can do Lightsaber effects.

Straight from the Adobe website - you can trial the new Photoshop for 30 days.
If you want light saber effects that move, get Flash instead.

Photoshop is nice but it's too expensive... Try something like Gimp that rivals Adobe Photoshop. It's free @ http://gimp.org
