This sounds like a fungal infection, which can be treated with anti-fungal cream available over the counter from pharmacists.

Best wishes, J

You could have a fungal infection, however you would need to check with either your GP or chiropodist. Also it could be that you are lacking in vitamin D so you need to eat bags of green leafed vegetables and plenty of fruit containing vitamin C oranges full of vitamin C which helps to process the vitamin D properly.

I had the same problem a few months back;mine was vitamin D defficiency. Also it maybe prudent to leave off the nail varnish for a few weeks and wear flip flops around the house to get fresh air to your feet.

Heres to healthy happy feet!

Vietnam Vets have dealt with this for decades, and it is NOT fungal,,,,,, it IS bacterial. most "cures" have a side affect of possible liver damage. I am now trying a product called "Thornit" Canker Powder, which is only sold in England right now, it is a product that has been great on bacterial problems in dogs and cats ears,, before you laugh too loud ,,, look it up,, I live in the country and its the ONLY product that keeps mites from my dogs and cats. People who use it LOVE it. And NO side affects to worry about.

Sometimes you might have a nail fungus that will cause this.Check with a podiatrist and he/she will take a sample from the nail to see if has fungus. If it is fungus they will give you a cream or pills.Be careful with the pills though because they will stress the liver.Good luck.

Fungus infection. You can get over the counter stuff for that "Cure-a-Nail". My sister recommends Tea Tree Oil. It takes a while to cure it.

Maggots will appear in about 1 hour, don`t be alarmed, it`s quite normal at this time of year, if you know any anglers invite them round to pick them out they make great bait.
