I became good friends with a woman who is nearly about to get divorced. She has a kid, and i think she is scared to move on. She had a bad past, and i dont think she's totaly confident in herself.

However when we started to get serious, she suddendly distances her self from me. I feel like i have fallen in love with her, and while i dont want to hurt her, I really dont want to lose her friendship.

Some words were said between us that hurt both of us.

Is there a way to mend this?

Have a long chat with her, face to face and sort out the insecurity.

Reassure her and prove your love to her with both words, actions and deeds.

Once betten twice shy. Don't blame her. She has every reason to be so and you have every reason to assure her and convince her that this is totally different relationship and you are not her ex, and will prove to her.

All the best!/
