How long does it take to dry apples?

I'm making apple chips (spiral cut slices) in my dehydrator. Approximately how long will I need to run it? I can't find my book.

First a tip.....dip the apples in lemon juice before you put them in the dehydrator. It keeps them from turning brown.

Timing depends on your dehydrator. If you have one with a blower/fan, about 5-6 hours. One that is radiant heat only, about twice as long.

Fruits dry best at 135 F.
7-15 hours
