i saw www.isango.com and thought it would cut out time-wasting, if I sorted out the WHOLE itinerary now rather than then...

I think its exciting thing to book it when you're there. There may be things that you don't know about when you get there - you can have the enjoyment of choosing :)

Generally no. If you book the whole itinerary there would be no flexibility to change your mind once you are out there. There may be things you want to do once there that you hadn't booked; similarly there would activities booked which you no longer want to do. Just have an idea of what you want to do and book once there.

Not always, we went to Cuba last year and the prices in the brochure were much dearer than when we got there for trips and activities, were going to Australia in six weeks and got told by the travel agent to book all our internal flights, trips and activities via them, rubbish my cousin has done that for us and saved us well over £400 by doing it at her end, so generally cheaper when you reach your destination to book things.
