If its applicable to muslim men only, isn't it unjust for their womenfolk, and if its applicable for both sexes, then why are their women not allowed to multiple marriage unlike their menfolk, isn't that unjust as well ?

Actually the 72 virgins thing is not from the verse in the Qur'an directly but from a Hadith where Muhammad says that believers, among other things, will have 72 spouses in paradise. That's right, spouses. And of course, the imagery of paradise, as in most religions with such a thing, is allegorical, so let's not be childish...anyway, the idea that they're virgins waiting for martyrs is an extrapolation of anti-muslim propagandists. It's straight up made up, dude.

In any case, the Qur'an promises believers of both sexes, *explicitly* the rewards of paradise.

1. it's not 70.

2. it's technically not virgins - it's the arabic term "hoori" which literally means "large eyed maidens" in english. English is rather shallow when it comes to trying to translate frm arabic.

3. Yes women also get the same courtesy. But it is said that in heaven a wife and husband will find each other to be the most beautiful/handsome and irresistable even though they have other choices to pick from.

One final thing - women are not allowed to have more than one husband because it's important to know who the father is of the child and also in order to trace back lineage since lineage is patriarchal. hope this helps.

interior the suited analyzing of the Arabic Quran: The huge form 'seventy two' is nowhere there interior the e book. The equivalent be conscious for 'so referred to as Virgins' interior the Arabic ability companions and this is in impartial gender. meaning thereby, that the two men and the girls persons shall get lots of stable acquaintances in Paradise. Male chauvinistic translators or interpreters would have examine companions for lady companions and strong lady companions simply by fact the virgins. that's the mindset of a few reader which would be objected to and not the e book.

Applicable only to men. Men are generally not defined in ancient languages as "virgins". They're either young or old.

Won't some of those ladies be pissed! No chip-n-dales for them!

Um, 70 virgin men? I can only imagine what that would be like. Pocket protecters, Dungeon and Dragons, ect. No thanks. I much prefer somebody who knows his way around a woman's body.
